AMMA Fitness (American Karate Training Centers) has a long and distinguished history of serious personal accomplishment and self improvement. In holding fast to this ideal, there are some bruised egos or hurt feelings. We do NOT give away rank nor do we give into emotion when it comes to ranking. Each rank within AMMA Fitness is earned. Earned and NEVER given.

We do not profit by moving you through the ranks like some schools. We do not charge for testing and when you pass, there is no fee associated. Here, you are free to concentrate on training to be the best that you can be. The flip side of that coin is that for those that come into our school with the plan of paying for testing as a mechanism for getting a black belt, quickly realize the painful truth about us. Everything is earned and nothing is given. These people usually do not stay long. The people that stay, train and give their all are hopefully rewarded for their efforts by earning their ranks.

When you truly earn what you have, you will appreciate it much more.
